Superhero Halloween

Halloween was pretty fun this year. We went trunk or treating with the boys and had a little party. The theme was Superheros, which was pretty much Zach's idea, because he wanted to be batman and wanted us to be superheros too.
Catwoman and Batman action shot!
Jenny playing it up as catwoman, isn't she cute?
party food: chili, mummy pizzas, cornbread with "blood", monster teeth apples, bloody punch.
Mae as Batgirl
And I was Wonder Woman, obviously a homemade costume, but its my halloween tradition.
Supergirls!
Batman and Batgirl unite against the deranged dragon!
Supposed to be an action shot, and no, I'm not punching Luke, I think he was pulling the star stickers off my skirt at the time.

Happy Birthday Seth!

Today Seth turns the big 3-0 and instead of going the traditional cake route (which he doesn't even like anyway) I decided to make him some dessert sushi (he really does like sushi). It's made from rice crispy treats and candy. Mae helped me and we made even more than the pictures show for his party tommorow night. I think they turned out pretty cute, don't you?
I love you Baby! Have a great day!

Fall Family Fun!

This week I went up the canyon with Peter, Jenny and the boys. We had a great time exploring the Fall landscape. We even saw this HUGE Moose running through the park.
                                                           Peter and the boys hiking.

                                                            Holding hands, too cute!

Zach with one of the fall leaves. I told him that the leaves changed colors. I said "they change colors to red, and yellow and orange.." To which he replied "and blue!!"

Peter taught them to throw rocks in the creek. From then on they wanted to collect rocks. When Peter told Luke not to put them in his pockets, he proceeded to put them in my pockets. I had quite a few by the end of the hike.

                                                Family photo and pudding break!

                                                             Family dog pile!

Summer Memories '08

Now that we're officially heading into fall,  I thought I'd post some pics of some of my favorite memories from this summer

Playing ping pong with Mae during our Sexton Family Reunion in Park City

Hanging with the May cousins during the reunion
My Mom's anniversary present to my Dad was to have Johnny (Peter's bro-in-law) play his bagpipes for him. Ah, Scottish Pride!
Luke's 2nd B-day (one of manyb-days this summer) Wish I got a pic of Zach's b-day too...
Corbin Riggs 3rd b-day party shared with...
other nephew Jamon's 1st...
Camping! We went twice! The second time it rained the whole time and hailed a bit too. Serves us right for going on a Sunday.
Cuddled in one of our brand new mummy bags
Mae at her tent, cute girl!
Ah!!! It's hailing! We made a mad dash to get our stuff packed up!
Poor Seth didn't bring a coat and had to wear mine. Mae and I kept thinking he was the other one of us...

Other Good Memories not caught on camera:
-Spending our anniversary in Park City and riding the alpine slide
-Going to the Scottish Festival with Spencer and Megan
-Swimming with Zach and Luke at leaste once a week
-My B-day party and having Ben and Nicole and fam stay with us that weekend
-Fixing up bikes and riding them. Riding to the near fairgrounds with Mae and watching the rodeo people practice their sports in the evenings.
-Trip to WA
guess thats all for now..i hope to make some good autumn memories too.

A Day at the Beach

Mae and I took a little trip to Washington this past week. We had a great time, especially hanging out at the beach by the Columbia River. Really cold water, but it feels nice in the hot weather.

With our cousin's daughter Sophie.

Cute beach bum!

This is what the beach looks like in WA

Heber Valley Railroad

Last saturday we took my grandparents, George and Althea Sexton, on the Heber Valley Railroad. We took the train ride and they also had a BBQ and a Bluegrass Band Play when we stopped at Soldier Hollow. I had a great time being out in the country and spending time with my grandparents.

At the Train Station

Feeling the breeze in the open carraige, the train chugging along.. and my cute hubby!

New Haircut!!

What do you think?
